Congratulations to the 2025 Doo Dah Day Patty Peck Honda New Car Giveaway grand prize winner, Heather Rayner!

On Friday, March 21, 2025, ten Key Finalists gathered at The Stomp at Cathead Distillery for a grand prize giveaway. Amidst the food trucks, band, and games, the finalists first drew numbers to determine the order in which they would draw keys. Next, they took turns drawing envelopes with keys in them and pressing the alarm button to see if it set off the brand new, 2025 Honda Civic LX.

One by one, the finalists returned to their seats. When the ninth finalist pressed the button on his key and the car didn’t make a sound, the crowd that had gathered went silent. The last finalist to draw a key, Heather Rayner, opened her key with tears in her eyes and set off the alarm, winning the grand prize! Her daughters, Maddi and Juli, looked on in shock as the crowd cheered!

Heather, who lives with her three daughters in Brandon, purchased 3 tickets this year and has supported Friends of Children’s Hospital through the car giveaway for many years.

“I’ve been buying the tickets for years to help give back, so I really never thought I’d the call that I won a spot!” she said.

Years ago, Heather spent 2 weeks at Children’s of Mississippi with her oldest daughter, which resulted in Juli being diagnosed with SJIA (systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis.)

“The children’s hospital has always been our go to because of the knowledgeable staff and specialists for my three girls as well as my nieces and nephews,” said Heather. “We were just so thankful that we have a local children’s hospital.”

The grand prize Honda Civic LX will be a first vehicle for Heather’s middle daughter, Hannah, who turns 17 in April.

“I don’t think anyone knows how much relief I feel after this.” Heather said. “This is such a blessing.”

Proceeds from the Doo Dah Day Patty Peck Honda New Car Giveaway benefit Mississippi’s youngest patients and support our state’s only children’s hospital.
