CREATING COMFORT AND JOY: HOW CHILD LIFE MAKES A DIFFERENCE

When a child needs reassurance before a procedure, when they celebrate a birthday away from home, or when a family faces the unimaginable loss of a child, the Child Life Specialists at Children’s of Mississippi are there every step of the way. Through the support of the Sidney & Friends Child Life Fund, these dedicated professionals can continue providing the essential comfort and support that children and families need during challenging times.

The Child Life program at Children’s of Mississippi is one of the most impactful and meaningful initiatives Friends of Children’s Hospital supports. The Child Life team is made up of nine highly skilled and compassionate individuals who take pride in their work, with specialized training and certifications that allow them to make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families. We are proud to support the Child Life program, offering funding for vital needs such as salaries, supplies, special events, holiday activities, and more.
