We spent a heartwarming morning on Tuesday, December 5th at Children’s of Mississippi. Friends of Children’s Hospital hosted Santa’s Workshop, and hundreds of patients filled stockings and bags with toys, books, crafts, and games. Patients had their photo taken with Santa, too!
We’d like to thank our volunteers from Paul Moak Subaru, and everyone who donated toys for us to give to patients. It was a magical way to kick off a special day at Children’s of Mississippi!

Later that evening, we celebrated BankPlus Presents Light-A-Light. The highlight of the night was seeing 10-year-old Addie Hamm light the Christmas tree outside of the children’s hospital, surrounded by tons of family and friends. Addie received a new heart in August, and her strength and resilience are truly inspiring. Since 1992, the annual BankPlus Presents Light-A-Light fundraiser, organized by Friends of Children’s Hospital, has brought joy and hope to the children and families at Children’s of Mississippi.
We’d like to thank BankPlus for sponsoring the event for many years, as well as Ballet Mississippi for their performance of The Nutcracker, and The Mississippi Chorus for their beautiful caroling. It was a wonderful day to uplift and encourage the brave patients and their families during the holiday season.
