Wants to be a Teacher

We’ve always had great experiences at Children’s of Mississippi. We love the new clinics.

—Dr. Sarah Carlisle, Caroline's mother

Kindness, compassion and empathy matter to everyone, but in Caroline Carlisle’s world, those characteristics–taken for granted by so many–have made the world of difference and shaped both who she is today and who she aspires to be tomorrow. For example, Caroline’s fifth-grade teacher, Mrs. Byron, is her role model, and Mrs. Byron’s kind-heartedness has resonated so much with Caroline that one day she hopes to return the favor when she, too, becomes a teacher. Caroline is undeterred by Down syndrome. Her favorite subject in school is math, and in her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, watching YouTube and doing ballet. She is well on her way to becoming a well-rounded, compassionate educator and role model herself!
